
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: Whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until combined.
- Add dry ingredients: Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking powder. Don’t overmix.
- Bake: Pour into prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Cool and cut: Let cool in pan for 10 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled cut into squares or bars.
